Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police Blotter: Aug. 7-13

Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers between Aug. 7-13 made 2,551 contacts with anglers, boaters and the general public, including 276 vessel boardings for boating safety and fishing regulation compliance checks.




Changes in lifeguard hours at Delaware Seashore and Fenwick Island state parks announced

Hours and locations for lifeguarded ocean swimming beaches in Delaware State Parks will change beginning next week, DNREC’s Division of Parks & Recreation announced today.




DNREC Aug. 17 public hearing on Indian River mooring field for Tuckahoe Camping Resort cancelled after permit application is withdrawn

DNREC has cancelled an Aug. 17 public hearing on the permit application submitted by Calhoun Properties, LLC for a mooring field in the Indian River near Dagsboro for the Tuckahoe Acres Campground Resort. The application has been withdrawn.




End of Year Celebration held for DNREC’s Division of Parks & Recreation’s Youth Conservation Corps

DNREC Secretary Garvin thanked the 58 Youth Conservation Corps spent who spent 14,000 hours this summer helping to maintain Delaware State Parks during a celebration for their service.
