DNREC’s Division of Parks & Recreation reminds visitors to Delaware’s state parks that entrance fees will be in effect starting Thursday, March 1 through Nov. 30, 2018.




DNREC announces the Point at Cape Henlopen to close March 1 for 2018 beachnesting season

The Point at Cape Henlopen State Park, including a stretch of ocean beach and dunes, and a half mile along the bay shoreline, will close beginning Thursday, March 1, for the benefit of threatened and endangered beachnesters and migratory shorebirds.




Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police Blotter: Feb. 12-18

Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers between Feb. 12-18 made 1,334 contacts with hunters, anglers, boaters and the general public, issuing 52 citations, issuing 52 citations. Officers responded to 34 complaints regarding possible violations of laws and regulations or requests to assist the public.




Laurel man arrested for multiple deer hunting violations

DNREC Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police concluded an investigation that began during Delaware’s deer hunting season with the Feb. 18 arrest of a Sussex County man for multiple deer hunting violations.




Advisory Council on Wildlife and Freshwater Fish to meet Feb. 27 to discuss 2018/19 Migratory Game Bird Seasons

Delaware’s Advisory Council on Wildlife and Freshwater Fish will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the DNREC Auditorium, at 89 Kings Highway, in Dover.
