Governor Jack Markell, Senator Coons and other Public Officials Join Ingerman for Groundbreaking at Newark, Delaware’s Alder Creek

Delaware Governor Jack Markell, Senator Chris Coons and Newark Mayor Polly Sierer were among the officials who joined representatives from Ingerman today to break ground on Alder Creek, Delaware’s newest affordable housing community. Other attendees included State Representative Paul Baumbach, DSHA Director Anas Ben Addi, HUD Regional Administrator Jane Vincent, Newark Housing Authority Executive Director Marene Jordan, Ingerman Development Principal David Holden and Capital One Vice President Thomas Houlihan.




State of Delaware Announces Class for State Employees on Employing People with Disabilities

All State of Delaware employees will be able to access a new online class, Focus on Ability. This class will provide information about hiring and retaining employees with disabilities, including responding to and requesting accommodations, understanding invisible disabilities, and interacting comfortably and respectfully with people who have disabilities.




Governor Markell Signs Three Bills to Help Spur Brownfields Development, While Safeguarding Delaware’s Groundwater and Protecting Public Health

On a former brownfield site that’s now a WSFS Bank branch location, Governor Jack Markell signed legislation that enhances the state’s capabilities for transforming environmentally-impaired properties while also better protecting public health and groundwater resources from hazardous releases.




Drug Diversion Court’s Twenty Years of Success Recognized at Graduation Ceremony

Having built a record of turning around the lives of Delawareans with substance abuse issues, the New Castle County Superior Court’s Drug Diversion Court graduated its newest class at the New Castle County Courthouse where Governor Jack Markell and Senator Tom Carper lauded the Court’s achievements over twenty years.
