Governor Markell and Secretary Small honored four Delaware students recognized as DNREC’s 2016 Young Environmentalists of the Year, along with an environmentalist group of third graders from Hartly Elementary School who received special recognition from the program.




DNREC’s inaugural Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police Youth Academy introduces students to outdoors law enforcement and lets them see themselves as on-the-job candidates

A full complement of 20 students concluded their week-long training at the Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police’s inaugural Youth Academy with a recognition ceremony held at and hosted by Cabela’s at the Christiana Mall.




Grand prize winner and youth finalists announced for DNREC’s 2016 rain barrel art contests

The winners in the Division of Watershed Stewardship’s Rain Barrel Painting Contest have been announced, and are now on display at the Delaware Agricultural Museum.
