Offender who fled Delaware returned from South Dakota

Wilmington – The Delaware Department of Correction announced today that John Landoll, Jr., an offender on work release who failed to return to the Plummer Community Corrections Center from an authorized pass in October, 2014, is back in custody in Delaware. Landoll, age 34, of Newark, DE, was apprehended on November 26, 2014 by law enforcement in Rapid City, South Dakota following a high speed car chase, and he was returned to Delaware yesterday evening by State Detectives from the Delaware Attorney General’s Office. Landoll was taken to the Howard R. Young Correctional Center, where he is being held without bail pending a hearing for a Violation of Probation charge filed by the Department of Correction. He also faces charges of Harassment, Terroristic Threatening, and Escape After Conviction.
