Department of Correction announces search for Dover work release offender and the apprehension of two offenders

The Delaware Department of Correction announces that a work release offender assigned to the Morris Community Corrections Center in Dover has failed to return to the facility as required. Offender Zachary Siok left the facility Friday, July 10 on an authorized work pass. After Siok failed to return later that evening as required, efforts to locate him were immediately undertaken and an escape warrant for his arrest was issued. Ongoing attempts to make contact with Siok have been unsuccessful.

In addition, in two separate cases, the Department of Correction announces that the following work release offenders are back in custody:
– On May 24, Offender Frank Pope, a work release offender assigned to the Plummer Community Corrections Center in Wilmington, was found to be unaccounted during a routine offender count on May 24. A search of the facility failed to locate him and an escape warrant for his arrest was issued. On July 9 Pope was arrested by New Castle County Police Department officers, who arrested him on multiple drug charges and on an escape charge, and he was transported to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution where he is being held on $33,250 secured bail. Read the original press release.
– On July 7 Offender Jason McKenna, a work release offender assigned to the Morris Community Corrections Center in Dover, failed to return to the facility from an authorized work pass and an escape warrant for his arrest was issued. McKenna turned himself into the Smyrna Police Department on July 9 where he was arrested. He was transported to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center where he is being held on $5,000 cash bail.
