Attorney General Matt Denn joined the 18 employees of the Delaware Department of Justice who serve as volunteer mentors at Bancroft and Stubbs Elementary Schools, for a pizza party today with the students involved in the program through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware.
The volunteer mentors include staff from all four divisions in the Department of Justice, working weekly with students in third, fourth, and fifth grades.
“It’s been a longtime goal of mine to encourage Delawareans to mentor children in our public schools, just as I mentor a student each week,” said Attorney General Denn. “I’m proud of the DOJ employees who have taken the step to help make a difference in the lives of our children, providing not only much needed tutoring for children who may be struggling, but a caring and reliable supporter as well.”
