DNREC to host Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund Public Workshop Jan. 3

DOVER – The Delaware Department of Natural Resources Environmental Control’s Environmental Finance and the Delaware Division of Public Health’s Office of Drinking Water will host a State Revolving Loan Fund workshop from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at the Kent County Administrative Complex, 555 South Bay Road, Dover, DE 19901. The workshop will focus on developing the FY2018 Project Priority Lists for the Clean Water (CWSRF) and Drinking Water (DWSRF) state revolving funds.

The workshop will provide municipal government representatives, privately-owned businesses, wastewater and drinking water utilities, consultant engineers, and other interested parties with detailed overviews of the CWSRF and DWSRF programs. Attendees also will learn more about requesting financial assistance for wastewater and drinking water infrastructure project needs, along with CWSRF and DWSRF program changes and infrastructure financing tools. Detailed information will be presented on submitting projects for funding consideration, project ranking criteria, project construction requirements, and applying for infrastructure planning grants.

Notices-of-intent for wastewater, drinking water, stormwater, and related infrastructure projects will be accepted beginning Jan. 3 and are due by Jan. 31, 2018 to prepare the FY2018 CWSRF and CWSRF project priority lists. Projects must be included on these lists to be considered for funding. Applicants and/or their consulting engineering firms who plan to apply for CWSRF and DWSRF assistance are required to attend the workshop.
