DATE Arrests Townsend Woman on Drug Charges

The Delaware Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement (DATE) has arrested Mary Fischer-Solimeo of Townsend on a felony drug charge and related offenses following an investigation into illegal marijuana sales.

On May 13, DATE’s Marijuana Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at Blackbird Creek Farm on Union Church Road in Townsend. An investigation had determined the location was unlicensed by the Office of the Marijuana Commissioner and was allegedly selling and growing marijuana.

The Delaware Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Enforcement (DATE) is alerting the public to a fraudulent marijuana operation targeting University of Delaware students and Newark residents.
DATE has received reports of counterfeit business cards and flyers being distributed in the Newark area. These materials falsely claim to represent Fresh Delaware, a legitimate marijuana business. The impostors are attempting to mislead potential customers into purchasing marijuana products illegally.
