The Kent Conservation District will hold its 17th Annual Barn Dance fundraiser from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at the Harrington Fire Company, on Clark Street in Harrington.

Charter School of Wilmington Team B is the winner of the 2016 Delaware Envirothon competition held April 28 at Brecknock Park in Camden, marking the school’s 17th win in the event’s 20-year history, including an unbroken winning streak since 2002.

A Kent County student was recently named the second place winner nationwide in the National Association of Conservation Districts’ (NACD) conservation poster contest, themed “Local Heroes – Your Hardworking Pollinators.”
