Quilt Documentation Day to take place at Lewes Presbyterian Church on April 30, 2016

The project is designed to record the rich tradition of quilt-making in the state of Delaware and to help preserve its legacy for future generations.

Wilmington, DE – In his weekly message, Governor Markell highlights how the state is supporting efforts to connect Delawareans to affordable education and workforce training opportunities beyond high school at a time when continuing education is increasingly necessary to compete for good jobs in the new economy.




Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs to sponsor 14 special programs during May 2016

Highlights of the month include programs on the saving of The Old State House, a symposium on the early Colonial archaeology of the Delaware Valley region and the Zwaanendael Maritime Celebration.




“Listen Up!”: Year-long spoken-word program to engage young people in Delaware history

Listen Up!” is a year-long series of programs and workshops in which participating Delaware youth will create their own spoken-word presentations.
