African American History Month programs to be featured at Dover, Del.’s John Dickinson Plantation in February 2015
During the month of February 2015, the home of the “Penman of the Revolution” will present five special programs that explore different aspects of everyday life as it would have been lived during the 18th century when John Dickinson owned the property.
Seventeen High School Students Compete in 2015 Delaware Poetry Out Loud State Finals
Each of the seventeen participants will recite poetry that they have selected, studied, and practiced, representing more than 40 different poets including Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Lewis Carroll, Gwendolyn Brooks, Robert Frost and Emily Dickinson. The event is free and the public is invited to attend.
