Dover work release offender sought by Department of Correction
A work release offender assigned to the Morris Community Corrections Center in Dover has failed to return to the facility as required. Offender Jason McKenna left the facility yesterday, July 6 on an authorized work pass. After McKenna failed to return later that evening as required efforts to locate him were immediately undertaken and an escape warrant for his arrest was issued.
Department of Correction searching for Wilmington work release offender
The Department of Correction is currently searching for Abdullah Abdurraqeeb (aka Kevon Harris-Dickerson) , a work release offender assigned to the Plummer Community Corrections Center in Wilmington who has left the facility without authorization.
23 graduate from state Probation and Parole training academy
At a ceremony today at the Department of Correction’s Employee Development Center, 23 recruits graduated from the Basic Officer Training Course (BOTC) which prepares Probation and Parole Officers to supervise offenders serving sentences of probation.
Inmates earn diplomas through prison education program
Wearing black caps and gowns over their white prison jumpsuits, 10 men earned their high school diplomas today. The graduates from the James H. Groves Adult High School at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna are among 30 inmates across the state who are celebrating graduations through the Department of Education’s prison education program this spring.
Two work release offenders sought by Department of Correction
The Delaware Department of Correction is currently searching for two work release offenders assigned to the Sussex Community Corrections Center in Georgetown and the Plummer Community Corrections Center in Wilmington.
