Delaware’s main internet portal – Delaware.gov – has been redesigned to improve citizen access to state government information and services. “The state’s new web portal was designed to be welcoming and easy to use, better connecting citizens to their government,” said Governor Markell.

Governor Jack Markell today unveiled a newly redesigned website for the Governor’s office at governor.delaware.gov. Several weeks ago, Markell was also the first governor to join Pinterest – one of the nation’s fastest growing social networks, estimated to be the third most popular.

Governor Markell Signs Executive Order To Simplify and Clarify State Agency FOIA Policies
“Delaware’s Freedom of Information Act helps ensure transparency and accountability in government, which is the people’s business,” said Governor Markell. “This Executive Order makes it easier for citizens to make FOIA requests, requires executive branch agencies to be more consistent in how they respond to these requests, and in many cases, substantially reduces the cost of FOIAs.
