DNREC’s DuPont Nature Center announces family-friendly programs for July

The DuPont Nature Center at Mispillion Harbor Reserve, a DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife facility located in the heart of Delaware’s Bayshore Region, will host a variety of family-friendly programs during the month of July.




Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission to hold June 28 public hearing on draft amendment to tautog management plan in Lewes

DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife will host an Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) public hearing on a draft amendment to the Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Tautog at 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 28 at DNREC’s Lewes Facility.




Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police Blotter: June 5-June 11

To achieve public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware’s fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety, Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers between June 5-11 made 2,032 contacts with anglers, boaters and the general public, including 200 vessel boardings for boating safety and fishing regulation compliance checks, issuing 44 citations. Officers responded to 46 complaints regarding possible violations of laws and regulations or requests to assist the public.
