Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police Blotter: June 19-25

To achieve public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware’s fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety, Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers between June 19-25 made 2,308 contacts with anglers, boaters and the general public, including 212 vessel boardings for boating safety and fishing regulation compliance checks, issuing 156 citations.




DNREC announces that first phase of new Tri-Valley Trail in White Clay Creek State Park to open to the public July 4

NEWARK – The much-anticipated Tri-Valley Trail, located in White Clay Creek State Park north of Newark, will open to the public on July 4, DNREC’s Division of Parks & Recreation announced today. The first 1.9-mile Phase I section connects Paper Mill and Thompson Station roads to a new trailhead at the intersection of Smith Mill and Paper Mill roads.




DNREC’s DuPont Nature Center announces family-friendly programs for July

The DuPont Nature Center at Mispillion Harbor Reserve, a DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife facility located in the heart of Delaware’s Bayshore Region, will host a variety of family-friendly programs during the month of July.




Bellevue State Park to celebrate its 40th anniversary

Bellevue State Park is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and the staff and the Friends of Bellevue State Park invite the public to join the celebration with all kinds of family-friendly activities and fun for all ages 11 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. Sunday, July 2. The park will waive its entry fee for the day.
