Jan. 22 deadline approaching to register for 2020 Delaware Wetlands Conference

Registration for the 2020 Delaware Wetlands Conference closes Wednesday, Jan. 22, so those who have not yet registered are encouraged to do so now, while spots are still available. Organized by DNREC’s Division of Watershed Stewardship with support from the Division of Climate, Coastal & Energy, the conference will be held Wednesday, Jan. 29 and Thursday, Jan. 30 at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington.

Delaware 5th-8th grade students are invited to build and race solar-powered model cars in a statewide challenge of creativity, engineering, and speed.

Top national mathematics, science teachers recognized

Four Delaware teachers have been named as recipients of the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST), the highest recognition that K-12 mathematics and science teachers can receive for outstanding teaching in the United States. The finalists were honored last week at the national awards ceremony in Washington, DC.




DNREC to hold public workshops about dredging, waterway management operations in Delaware’s Inland Bays

DNREC’s Shoreline & Waterway Management Section will be holding three informational public open house workshops to share information.
