EDGE 2.0 Finalists and Pitch Competition Dates Announced
The Delaware Division of Small Business (DSB) is excited to announce the finalists and dates, for the EDGE 2.0 Grant Pitch Competition. The pitch competition will be held on Oct. 28 and 29 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at The Tower Audion & Atrium at STAR Campus, University of Delaware, 100 Discovery Blvd., Newark, 19713. The public is invited to watch the competition in-person. Registration is required to watch.
SSBCI Update: DSB Distributes Nearly $4M in its Race to $14M
The Delaware Division of Small Business (DSB) is edging closer to its goal of getting millions of dollars into the hands of small business owners through its ‘Race to $14M’ initiative! The Division has distributed another $1.59M in federal funding as part of its Small State Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI). That brings the total of funds distributed to $3.99M since April 24 and leaves just over $10M that needs to be awarded so DSB does not lose access to the next round of these federal dollars.
DSB Unveils EDGE 2.0 – A New Era of Opportunity!
The EDGE Grant Competition is back, revamped and reimagined! Its successor, EDGE 2.0, is an updated, supercharged competition for $1.15M in grant funding to help take small businesses to the next level of success. EDGE 2.0 still features two established tracks – Entrepreneur and STEM – but it now includes a dynamic pitch competition where finalists compete for scaled, flexible funding based on the strength of their pitch and application.
DSB and BioConnect DE Announce STAR Fund Details
The Delaware Division of Small Business (DSB), in partnership with BioConnect DE, are announcing the details for the STEM Talent Advancement and Retention (STAR) Fund. The STAR Fund will provide tuition reimbursement awards for student loans of up to $6,000, as a way to incentivize, retain, and attract graduates from an accredited post-secondary college or university, who are currently employed or are considering employment in Delaware in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields.
Governor Meyer and Division of Small Business Highlight $14M Available in Small Business Funding
On Thursday, Governor Matt Meyer joined Division of Small Business (DSB) Director CJ Bell to highlight the urgent need to get $14M in the hands of small business owners before the end of the calendar year and re-launch the program providing these funds, the Small State Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI).
