Child Predator Task Force Arrests Laurel Man for Possession of Child Pornography

Wilmington – Attorney General Beau Biden announced today that the Delaware Child Predator Task Force has arrested a Laurel man following an investigation of child pornography images on his personal computer.  After investigators learned that a computer belonging to Bruce Jeffrey Dale, age 46, contained images of child pornography, Dale admitted during an interview that he was the sole user of the computer.  A forensic examination of Dale’s computer revealed that images of child pornography had been downloaded to the machine from the Internet, uncovered 25 images of child pornography, and also discovered an attempt to wipe the computer’s hard drive.

 

Based on the interview and forensic examination, on March 26, 2012, Child Predator Task Force personnel and a Delaware State Police Trooper arrested Dale and executed a search warrant at his residence at 10068 Cherry Street, Laurel Village Mobile Home Park, Laurel.  Dale was charged with 25 counts of possession of child pornography, arraigned by videophone at Justice of the Peace Court #2, and is being held on $50,000 secured bond at Sussex Correctional Institute.
