National Mosquito Control Awareness Week: June 26 through July 2

In observance of National Mosquito Control Awareness Week, DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife Mosquito Control Section encourages Delawareans to take precautions to avoid or reduce mosquito bites, and to put particular emphasis on eliminating backyard mosquito-producing habitat.

Governor Jack Markell has signed Senate Bill 253 that provides additional options and flexibility to developers, contractors and landowners for meeting standards that protect Delaware’s water quality and reduce flooding impacts under the state’s sediment and stormwater management program.

Harris-Nock of Bridgeville, Delaware, following determination that Ms. Harris-Nock violated Delaware law. Three broods of piping plover chicks spotted foraging on the Point at Cape Henlopen
