News | Date Posted: Monday, September 7, 2020

DOVER, Del. – The Division of Small Business will begin accepting applications for the first round of distribution from the $100 million DE Relief Grant program starting 10 AM Tuesday at delbiz.com/relief.

Grants of up to $100,000 are available to assist Delaware small businesses (and nonprofits) impacted by COVID-19.

Over the long weekend, business owners interested in applying should be sure they have gathered the required documents:

  • 2019 tax return
  • Delaware Business License
  • Receipts for qualifying expenses

Though the application portal will not be open until Tuesday morning, right now a video demonstrating the system and walking through the steps to apply is on the DSB Facebook page – www.facebook.com/DelawareSmallBusiness/

“These have been unprecedented and challenging times. Delaware’s small businesses have shown resilience in navigating them,” Damian DeStefano, director of the Delaware Division of Small Business said. “This program is a way to support them in continuing to serve their customers and help the state’s economy as a whole.”

More information about the grants, including business eligibility requirements, a list of eligible expenses and additional stipulations can be found at delbiz.com/relief.

Businesses needing assistance with applying on Tuesday should reach out to the Division’s regional business managers for their area at delbiz.com/contact.

The DE Relief Grants program is a joint initiative of the State of Delaware and New Castle County funded by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
