Wilmington, DE – Today, Delaware Governor-elect Matt Meyer announced additional hires to his administration’s transition staff, adding three seasoned media and communications professionals with diverse Delaware and national experience. Mila Myles, a national political communications strategist, was named Transition Communications Director; Ron Vann, a former Harris-Walz Senior Video Producer, was named Transition Digital Director; and Abigail Tracy, a strategic communications expert and former political journalist, was named Transition Deputy Communications Director.
“It’s critical that all Delawareans, and particularly our working families, know their state government is fighting for them,” Governor-elect Meyer said. “Transparency to the public and the media has been a hallmark of my time as New Castle County Executive, and it will continue to be as governor – and that starts with this transition process. I’m excited to welcome Ron, Abby, and Mila to the team.”
Mila A. Myles, Transition Communications Director: Mila Myles is a Democratic strategist and spokeswoman with over a decade of experience advising political campaigns, government officials, and labor unions across the United States. Mila holds a B.A. from Wabash College and a dual MSc./M.A. in Global Media and Communications from the London School of Economics and Political Science and the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in Los Angeles.
Ronald Vann, Transition Digital Director: Ronald Vann is a seasoned Creative Video Producer and Editor with over 20 years of experience in multimedia production. Known for his expertise in compelling storytelling and executing high-impact media campaigns, Ron has consistently delivered engaging content that drives viewership and supports strategic objectives. Most recently, he played a pivotal role in crafting impactful media for the Harris-Walz campaign. Ron also served as the Media Director for the HBCU Week Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing higher education opportunities. The foundation surpassed a remarkable milestone of awarding over $100 million in scholarships to aspiring HBCU scholars.
