Public Invited to Comment as Delaware Department of Agriculture Reviews Regulations

he Delaware Department of Agriculture (DDA) is conducting a review of its regulations and seeking input from the public. DDA is accepting comments and will hold a series of public hearings to meet the requirements of the Regulatory Flexibility Act (29 Del C. §10401 et seq.). Comments on the regulations under review are being accepted through May 30, and they are available at https://regulations.delaware.gov/AdminCode/title3/index.shtml. Regulations for programs overseen by a commission or board are exempt from the required review. Still, DDA will forward any comments received to the relevant program for consideration.

Department of Education announces new leadership to support funding reform efforts

Delaware Secretary of Education Cynthia “Cindy” Marten has chosen two experienced education leaders to help prepare for the first major overhaul of the state funding formula in more than 75 years. In her first senior staff appointments since taking office, Secretary Marten named Denise Carter as Deputy Secretary for Strategic Initiatives and Adam Schott as Associate Secretary for Student Support. Both are career public servants with extensive regional and national experience.
