DNREC Announces New Superintendents at Four Delaware State Parks

DNREC has announced three new superintendents at Delaware State Parks: Robert Brokus at Bellevue and Fox Point State Parks in northern New Castle County; Kathleen Crane at Killens Pond State Park near Felton; and Mathew Smith at Brandywine Creek State Park just outside Wilmington.

Delaware Natural Resources Police (DNRP) will host the 39th Annual Youth Fishing Tournament from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 7. The tournament, co-sponsored by the DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife, is to be held rain or shine at a public pond in each county: Blockhouse Pond in Lewes, Akridge Scout Reservation in the Dover area, and Lums Pond near Bear.




Trussum Pond Near Laurel to Close March 17 for Boat Ramp, Parking Area Improvements

DNREC announced today that Trussum Pond, managed by the DNREC Division of Parks and Recreation, will close starting March 17 for a construction improvements project expected to be completed in mid-April.

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control will close The Point at Cape Henlopen State Park, including a stretch of ocean and bay beach, starting Saturday, March 1.




Delaware State Parks Fee Season to Begin March 1

DNREC reminds visitors to Delaware State Parks that 2025 entrance fees will be in effect starting Saturday, March 1 through Nov. 30. Daily state park entrance fees for vehicles registered in Delaware are $4 at inland parks and $5 at ocean parks. Fees for out-of-state vehicles are $8 at inland parks and $10 at ocean parks. Annual passes are also available as a convenient and cost-effective alternative to daily fees.
