DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife announced that acreage will be made available for Inland Bays’ shellfish aquaculture lease starting later this month. Some acreage previously classified as “Pending” on the interactive Shellfish Aquaculture Development Area map will be updated starting May 10 to “Available.”

DNREC Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers between April 23-29 made 3,789 contacts with anglers, boaters, hunters and the general public, issuing 29 citations. Officers responded to 34 complaints regarding possible violations of laws and regulations or requests to assist the public.
