DNREC’s Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police Office of Boating Safety and Education joins the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) to encourage boaters to “Spring Aboard,” a March 18-24 nationwide campaign to prepare for boating season by enrolling in a boating safety course.

DNREC Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers between March 5-11 made 841 contacts with hunters, anglers, boaters and the general public, issuing 25 citations. Officers responded to 30 complaints regarding possible violations of laws and regulations or requests to assist the public.
DNREC’s DuPont Nature Center to reopen April 4

The DuPont Nature Center at Mispillion Harbor Reserve, a DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife facility located in the heart of Delaware’s Bayshore Region, will reopen Wednesday, April 4 after being closed for the winter.
Upstate trout season to open April 7 in seven New Castle County streams

Portions of seven designated trout streams in northern New Castle County – White Clay Creek, Red Clay Creek, Christina Creek, Pike Creek, Beaver Run, Wilson Run and Mill Creek – will be stocked with thousands of rainbow and brown trout, including some trophy-sized fish.
