Temporary closures for some areas of Cape Henlopen State Park needed to facilitate construction at Fort Miles

Certain areas of the Cape Henlopen State Park, including parts of the park’s bike loop, will be closed for 10 days from May 16 – 25, due to construction activities within the Fort Miles area of the park.
Training for volunteer beachnesting bird monitors set May 14

Volunteers who want to help protect Delaware’s endangered piping plovers and other beachnesting birds by joining DNREC’s monitoring team are invited to a training session from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 14, at Cape Henlopen State Park’s Biden Environmental Training Center.
