Biden’s office brings hate crime, other more serious charges against three juveniles for assault of a Newark-area man

Prosecutors today filed additional, more serious charges against three juveniles recently charged with the assault of a 26 year-old Newark-area man who suffers from a neurodevelopmental disorder. The three juveniles were initially arrested by New Castle County Police earlier this month after videos appeared on social media websites documenting their alleged assault of the victim.




Statewide consumer shredding events offered this fall

Attorney General Beau Biden announced that his Consumer Protection Unit is hosting three free consumer shredding events this fall to help consumers guard against identity theft. Each event will feature free on-site document shredding and staff will be on-hand to provide information and answer questions about consumer frauds and scams.

Attorney General Beau Biden has joined a coalition of eight states in supporting a federal proposal designed to ensure that the nation’s lakes, rivers, streams, and wetlands receive proper protection under the federal Clean Water Act (CWA). That support came in comments submitted this week to the Environmental Protection Agency and the Army Corps of Engineers on their joint Waters of the United States Proposed Rule.

Two New Castle County men – 31 year-old Christopher Rivers and 23 year-old Dominique Benson – who were arrested earlier this month for the September, 2013 shooting deaths of a couple at the Paladin Club apartments have been indicted by the New Castle County Grand Jury, Attorney General Beau Biden announced today.
