Registration Begins October 31, 2022 for DMV’s Low-Digit Tag Lottery

Starting on Monday, November 14, 2022, through Thursday, December 1, 2022, DMV will randomly select a set number of winners for 12 days that we are calling “the 12 Days of PLATE-mas.” There will be no drawings on weekends or on November 24, 2022, or November 25, 2022. The final drawing will be held on December 1, 2022.

The Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill (DHCI) in Smyrna is asking members of the community to sponsor a resident for the holidays. Since many residents have little family involvement or support, the nursing home relies on the generosity of community members including neighbors, local businesses, community organizations, and volunteers to help fulfill resident wishes at the holidays through the Adopt-A-Resident Program.




Delaware Wins Federal Grant to Support Cleaner School Buses

The Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) has been awarded an $809,000 federal grant to purchase one propane and three electric school buses for the Colonial School District through the federal Clean School Bus Rebate Program. Nationally, these awards are part of the first $1 billion of a five-year, $5 billion program created by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, championed by Delaware’s Congressional delegation of Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons and Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester (all D-Del.) and signed into law by President Joe Biden in November 2021.
