Top mathematics, science teachers recognized

Seven Delaware teachers have been named finalists for the highest recognition that K-12 mathematics and science teachers can receive for outstanding teaching in the United States. These finalists will be honored at a banquet in Dover on November 9, alongside the state’s Lifetime Achievement Award winners, who will be named at the event.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control is encouraging teachers, classmates, parents, club or group leaders and others whom a youth’s efforts might have impressed to nominate deserving students for the 2016 Young Environmentalist of the Year Awards.




Governor’s 2016 Agricultural and Urban Conservation Award winners honored today

Governor Markell was joined by state and federal officials in awarding the the annual Governor’s Agricultural and Urban Conservation Awards and designating April 24-30 as Soil and Water Stewardship Week in Delaware.
