DNREC’s Division of Parks & Recreation announces the Point at Cape Henlopen to reopen Sept. 1 following closure for beachnesting season
DNREC’s Division of Parks & Recreation today announced that the Point at Cape Henlopen State Park, including a stretch of ocean beach and dunes, and a half mile along the bay shoreline, will reopen beginning Saturday, Sept. 1.
DNREC’S Division of Parks & Recreation to hold Thursday, April 19 open house in Lewes to review Cape Henlopen State Park Trail Concept Plan
DNREC’s Division of Parks & Recreation will host a public open house to review the Cape Henlopen State Park Trail Concept Plan. The open house will be held 4-7 p.m., Thursday, April 19, at the DNREC Shoreline and Waterway Services facility, 901 Pilottown Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
DNREC’s Division of Parks & Recreation, in partnership with the Fort Miles Historical Association, will host an open house on October 16 for public review and comment on proposed capital improvements to the Fort Miles Museum and Historic Area in Cape Henlopen State Park.
With summer just around the corner, beachnesting birds are in full breeding mode, with piping plover and American oystercatcher nests increasing their Delaware numbers and least terns making nest scrapes.
DNREC’s Division of Parks & Recreation announced today that the popular Cape Henlopen State Park campground has closed to make way for a third and final phase of improvements.
