America’s participation in “the war to end all wars” will be brought to life during this five-day program that will take place at a variety of downtown Lewes, Del. locations from June 18–22, 2017.




Zwaanendael Maritime Celebration: “A Sailor’s Life for Me” in Lewes, Del. on May 27 and 28, 2017

Celebration provides visitors with an opportunity to experience seafaring lives of adventure, romance, excitement and hardships, and to honor mariners who made the ultimate sacrifice.




DPH Announces Potential Young Child Death From Flu

Even as flu season in Delaware is winding down, the Division of Public Health (DPH) is announcing a potential flu-related death to a child under the age of 2. If confirmed, that would bring the total number of flu-related fatalities for the 2016-2017 flu season to 15. The child passed away near the end of April. To protect the privacy of the child and the family no further information about the child will be released.




Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs to sponsor seven special events during May 2017

Highlights include Dover Days presentations, the Zwaanendael Museum’s Sixth Annual Maritime Festival, and A Day in Old New Castle.
