Treasurer Davis Prepares for Possible Default
Delaware State Treasurer Colleen Davis began taking proactive measures to protect Delaware’s financial interests in anticipation of a potential federal government default. The move comes after U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellin said that, without an agreement to raise the nation’s debt ceiling by June 1, 2023, the federal government could default on its loan obligations.
School Behavioral Health Professionals to be Honored
The state will name its 2023 Delaware Behavioral Health Professional of the Year at a statewide celebration on Thursday, June 8. Delaware’s 19 districts and the Delaware Charter School Network named local Behavioral Health Professionals of the Year for 2023. Following an application and interview process, one will be named the state honoree.
