The state’s latest high school dropout report, released today, shows a 30-year low in the percentage of students leaving high school before graduation.

Lieutenant Governor Matt Denn will give opening remarks when students from sixteen Delaware high schools participate in the Poetry Out Loud state finals at the Smyrna Opera House on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 7 p.m. This event is free and the public is invited to attend.

March 7th at 4:30 p.m. is the deadline to file as a candidate for the 2014 School Board elections. The elections will be held on May 13, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. There are 6 seats up for election in New Castle County.
