Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs to offer 20 special events during June 2014

Sweets and goodies, Earth Day and Colonial games to be featured at Dover, Del.’s John Dickinson Plantation

During the month of April 2014, the John Dickinson Plantation, located at 340 Kitts Hummock Rd. in Dover, Del., will present four special programs that explore different aspects of everyday life as it would have been lived during the 18th century when John Dickinson was in residence at the property.




“Delaware and the Underground Railroad Through Poetry” at Dover, Del.’s Old State House

On Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1 p.m., The Old State House, located at 25 The Green in Dover, Del., will present a program of poetry written about the Underground Railroad and slavery in the United States.

The Delaware Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs will be offering 19 special programs during the month of May 2014.




Scott, Biden Introduce Child Online Protection Act

Recognizing the rapidly evolving capabilities of technology designed to mine user data online and target advertisements to specific website visitors, Rep. Darryl Scott and Attorney General Beau Biden introduced legislation Tuesday designed to protect the online privacy of children and ensure greater control over content posted online by minors.
