Delaware promoting Operation Dry Water June 30-July 2 to help prevent boating under the influence and save lives on the water

DNREC Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police today announced Delaware’s active participation in Operation Dry Water, an annual nationwide enforcement and education campaign aimed at preventing alcohol- and drug-related boating accidents and fatalities.




Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police Blotter: June 12-18

To achieve public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware’s fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety, Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers between June 12-18 made 1,905 contacts with anglers, boaters and the general public, including 255 vessel boardings for boating safety and fishing regulation compliance checks, issuing 40 citations.




Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police Blotter: June 5-June 11

To achieve public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware’s fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety, Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers between June 5-11 made 2,032 contacts with anglers, boaters and the general public, including 200 vessel boardings for boating safety and fishing regulation compliance checks, issuing 44 citations. Officers responded to 46 complaints regarding possible violations of laws and regulations or requests to assist the public.

DNREC Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police are investigating a personal watercraft boating accident in the C&D Canal near Summit Bridge Tuesday afternoon that injured a Middletown man.
