Markell: “Fracking” Proposal Currently Lacks Sufficient Health and Safety Protections

Delaware will vote “No” at Monday meeting of the Delaware River Basin Commission. Governor’s Weekly Message: Habitat for Humanity – Building More Than Homes

“If you ever get a chance to lend a hand, or a hammer – do it,” said Governor Markell. “Whether it’s the Mill Stone project or others, the time, talent and resources dedicated by these volunteers help renew local communities, one block at a time. It also helps renew something in each volunteer – a sense of connection to our community. And when you’re volunteering with friends or co-workers, it renews your sense of teamwork and purpose.”

Delaware Officials Pay Their Respects To The People Of Japan’s Miyagi Prefecture

“Our community came together quickly to help our neighbors on the other side of the world,” said Markell. “I’m thankful for the generosity and compassion that Delawareans have shown, and I’m thankful for the strong bonds we’ve formed with our friends in Miyagi. I remain grieved by their losses, but I’m hopeful and inspired by the great strides they’ve made.”
