These audit reports are the first in a series of ongoing engagements evaluating Prescription Opioid Settlement Distribution Commission grants.

Dover, DE – State Auditor Lydia E. York issued audits of four organizations that received grants totaling more than more than $1,140,000 from Delaware’s Prescription Opioid Settlement Fund today. The performance audit engagements evaluated the organizations’ compliance with grant agreements overseen by the Prescription Opioid Settlement Distribution Commission (POSDC).

“Opioid settlement grants are allowing dozens of organizations to do good work fighting back against addiction in Delaware, but the fund is finite,” said Auditor York. “That’s why it is so important that these State dollars are expended in the smartest and most transparent way possible. These audit reports include important data to help the POSDC make ongoing grant decisions. I thank the Commission for their work and their ongoing partnership.”

No evidence of fraud was found in the course of the four audits. Three of the audited organizations were found to be compliant with their grant agreements, while a fourth organization’s audit report includes findings of noncompliance with its grant agreement. The reports are the first to be issued in an ongoing program of opioid grant recipient performance audits.
