By offering Delaware residents a convenient and low-cost option for travel to and from July Fourth celebrations, OHS aims to reduce fatalities and crashes that involve driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. OHS is promoting the availability of the ride-share vouchers — along with messaging to encourage their use — via social media and online advertising, as well as in bars and restaurants. The Delaware Department of Education announces the U.S. Department of Agriculture policy for free and reduced-price meals for children unable to pay the full price for meals served under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), and After School Snack Program (ASSP). Each participating school and its administrative office have a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party.

DNREC, which has hosted three regulatory review public hearings this week as required by Delaware Code, announced it will host a fourth regulatory review meeting, a virtual forum providing additional opportunity for the public to engage in the regulatory review process while allowing DNREC to gather more input on whether the regulations subject to review will either be amended or possibly eliminated. The forum will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 2. Public participation is encouraged, as the forum is to feature live comment as an option as DNREC solicits more regulatory review input.
