DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife promotes December hunting and trapping season openings

DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife is promoting the December openings of Delaware’s duck, Canada goose, brant, and antlerless deer hunting season splits, as well as the opening of furbearer trapping seasons. Numerous other hunting seasons remain open in December.




Laurel man arrested by DNREC Environmental Crimes Unit for illegal dumping in Sussex County

Following an investigation into a complaint of illegal dumping on Hastings Farm Road in Georgetown, Natural Resources Police Officers with DNREC’s Environmental Crimes Unit arrested a Laurel man Nov. 28 for illegal dumping of refuse.




Kent Conservation District receives Mid-Del Foundation grant to help support Delaware Envirothon

The Kent Conservation District recently received a Mid-Del Foundation grant in support of the annual Delaware Envirothon, an environmental education challenge sponsored by the Delaware Association of Conservation Districts (DACD), in which teams of Delaware high school students compete for scholarships and awards.




DNREC extends public comment period through Dec. 31 for Walan Specialty Construction Products, LLC’s Delaware air quality regulations construction permit

DNREC’s Cape Henlopen State Park will host the WWI Mobile Museum for the second year at the Fort Miles Museum and Historic Area from Monday, Dec. 3 – Saturday, Dec. 8. Visitors can explore and celebrate the centennial anniversary of World War I inside the Fort Miles Museum.
