Four Delaware farms recognized as Century Farms

Four families which have owned their farms for at least 100 years have been honored as Century Farms in a ceremony honoring Delaware agriculture’s long heritage and historic roots. There are now 121 Century Farms in Delaware.

Halloween Weekend DUI Enforcement

Delaware law enforcement officers statewide arrested 29 individuals for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of alcohol and/or drugs over Halloween Weekend (Oct 26-27). The arrests were the result of two sobriety checkpoints. This brings the total of DUI arrests under the 2012 Checkpoint Strikeforce campaign to 242. There have been over 4,000 DUI arrests made statewide since January.




Post-Storm, Gov. Markell Removes Level 1 Driving Warnings

With Hurricane Sandy passed and damage assessment and recovery underway, Governor Jack Markell removed the Level 1 driving warnings across the state as of 5 p.m. Tuesday, though he warned the public to remain cautious of closed and flooded roads in some parts of the state.
