Four years after adopting a comprehensive and practical plan, we have dramatically increased recycling in Delaware, generating significant economic and environmental benefits while reducing waste management costs. By making it easier for families and businesses to recycle, our 2010 Universal Recycling Law has helped divert hundreds of thousands of tons of waste from our landfills.

The four-day Firefly Music Festival contributed more than $68 million to the regional economy and created the equivalent of 579 full-time jobs in 2014, according to a study released.

Governor Markell has ordered the American and Delaware flags lowered to half-staff for the passing of former State Representative Clifford G. “Biff” Lee.
