The Delaware Office of Highway Safety (OHS) is encouraging Delawareans to celebrate the new year safely by offering its annual New Year’s Eve Sober Rides program. The initiative provides $20 ride-share vouchers for Uber or Lyft to help prevent impaired driving during one of the most dangerous nights of the year.

DUI Checkpoint Enforcement Results

The Delaware Office of Highway Safety (OHS), Delaware State Police, and local law enforcement partnered to conduct a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Checkpoint on Friday, September 26, 2025, in New Castle County.

During the checkpoint, law enforcement screened 228 vehicles and made 5 DUI arrests. In addition, law enforcement made 12 other traffic arrests.
