Artist Fellow Gabriel Jules to show work in the Mezzanine Gallery in November

The Delaware Division of the Arts Mezzanine Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of original work by Gabriel Jules from November 7 -26, 2014. The exhibition includes recent etchings, monotypes, and collage works by Jules, exhibiting the artist’s unique representations and keen interest in the natural world.

The Delaware Division of the Arts is working with Maren Brown Associates to develop a new strategic plan for FY2016-FY2020 that identifies and incorporates the ideas, issues, and initiatives of Delaware’s arts community: artists, organizations, audiences, and educators.

Day-long series of activities commemorating the 332nd anniversary of Penn’s Oct. 27, 1682 disembarkment at New Castle, his first landing in the New World.




Artist Fellow Leon Syfrit to show work in the Mezzanine Gallery in October

The series consists of male and female portraits representing each of the eight life stages presented in Erik Erikson’s theory of human psychological development. The process for the production of the work is an in-depth combination of contemporary digital tools and traditional photographic processes and techniques.




Thomas Del Porte to display paintings in the Mezzanine Gallery in September

Del Porte presents eleven new works depicting local scenes in canvases of vibrant and jewel-like color. The works on view feature street scenes from Wilmington area neighborhoods. A brilliant colorist, Del Porte creates his outdoor images en plein air and translates the scenes before him into sumptuous color and texture.
