Artist Fellow Leon Syfrit to show work in the Mezzanine Gallery in October

The series consists of male and female portraits representing each of the eight life stages presented in Erik Erikson’s theory of human psychological development. The process for the production of the work is an in-depth combination of contemporary digital tools and traditional photographic processes and techniques.




Thomas Del Porte to display paintings in the Mezzanine Gallery in September

Del Porte presents eleven new works depicting local scenes in canvases of vibrant and jewel-like color. The works on view feature street scenes from Wilmington area neighborhoods. A brilliant colorist, Del Porte creates his outdoor images en plein air and translates the scenes before him into sumptuous color and texture.




Governor Jack A. Markell to Present Awards in the Arts

Governor Jack A. Markell will honor the eight recipients of the 2014 Governor’s Awards for the Arts at a presentation starting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2014 at The Grand Opera House in Wilmington, Delaware. C. Mercedes Walls to display paintings in the Mezzanine Gallery in August

Regardless of media (oil, acrylic, or watercolor) or subject matter, Walls maintains her consistent approach as a spectacular colorist, developing luminous representations in still life and contemporary genre imagery.




Delaware Division of the Arts invests $2.9 million in the arts sector for Fiscal Year 2015

Twenty-five communities across Delaware, from Arden to Seaford, will receive grants to support arts programming and services, arts education, and related arts marketing and promotion.
