DEMA, PSEG DISTRIBUTE YOUNG ARTISTS AWARDS FOR ANNUAL CALENDAR ARTWORK

News | Date Posted: Thursday, May 30, 2013

(Smyrna, DE) —

(Smyrna, DE) — Fourteen area children from seven schools were honored today for producing art work to be included in the 2013 -2014 PSEG Nuclear Emergency Plan Information Calendar for Delaware and New Jersey.

The honorees were chosen from among hundreds of elementary school students who submitted art work.  All of the participating schools are in the Emergency Planning Zone, which is the area within a 10 mile radius of the Salem/Hope Creek Generating Stations in New Jersey.  Interest remains high among residents about the nuclear industry and power plant, and the calendar is a excellent resource for emergency planning information. The current 2012-2013 PSEG calendar can be viewed at www.dema.delaware.gov, under “Information, Nuclear”.

Brick Mill Elementary School (Middletown, DE) – Tori Coale, Logan Farrell

Silver Lake Elementary School (Middletown, DE) – Rylie Megahan, Isaiah Thomas

Southern Elementary School (New Castle, DE) – Reagan Kelly, Serina Vega

Old State Elementary School (Townsend, DE) – Delaney Bosco, Emma Wheat
