EDGE 2.0 Finalists and Pitch Competition Dates Announced

The Delaware Division of Small Business (DSB) is excited to announce the finalists and dates, for the EDGE 2.0 Grant Pitch Competition. The pitch competition will be held on Oct. 28 and 29 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at The Tower Audion & Atrium at STAR Campus, University of Delaware, 100 Discovery Blvd., Newark, 19713. The public is invited to watch the competition in-person. Registration is required to watch.




SCAM ALERT: Illegal Operation Impersonating Licensed Marijuana Dispensary

The Delaware Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Enforcement (DATE) is alerting the public to a fraudulent marijuana operation targeting University of Delaware students and Newark residents.
DATE has received reports of counterfeit business cards and flyers being distributed in the Newark area. These materials falsely claim to represent Fresh Delaware, a legitimate marijuana business. The impostors are attempting to mislead potential customers into purchasing marijuana products illegally.




Four Police Agencies Earn State Accreditation

The Camden, Fenwick Island, South Bethany, and Wyoming Police Departments have all earned state accreditation through the Delaware Police Accreditation Commission (DPAC). The DPAC commission is committed to advancing law enforcement professionalism through the establishment of professional standards and the administration of formal mechanisms that enable Delaware Police agencies to be systematically measured, evaluated, and updated. Earning state accreditation requires a commitment to excellence and determination. House Bill 206 requires all law enforcement agencies to be accredited by 2028.
