Delaware Students Make History at 2025 Educators Rising National Conference

Delaware students delivered an extraordinary performance at the 2025 Educators Rising National Conference, held June 26–29 in Orlando, Florida. With more than 3,000 middle school, high school, and collegiate students attending, the event is the premier gathering for future educators nationwide. Under the theme “Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders,” the Delaware team had standout achievements:




Public Announcement: School Nutrition Programs

The Delaware Department of Education announces the U.S. Department of Agriculture policy for free and reduced-price meals for children unable to pay the full price for meals served under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), and After School Snack Program (ASSP). Each participating school and its administrative office have a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party.




Delaware Youth Power The Health Workforce Pipeline At National HOSA Conference

Delaware’s HOSA–Future Health Professionals recently made an impact at the 48th Annual HOSA International Leadership Conference, held under the banner “Powered By the People.” With more than 13,000 students in attendance from around the world, the event highlighted the power of people-centered leadership in preparing the next generation of health professionals.




Delaware Business Students Place at National Conference

Students from across Delaware proudly represented the First State at the 2025 Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference last month in Orlando. Nearly 7,000 students from more than 800 chapters nationwide competed in a wide range of business-focused events, and Delaware students delivered an exceptional performance.




Red Clay School Social Worker Named 2025 Delaware Behavioral Health Professional of the Year

Jaclyn Durant, a school social worker from the Red Clay Consolidated School District, is the state’s 2025 Delaware Behavioral Health Professional of the Year.
