AT&T and the Delaware Office of Highway Safety are teaming up to discourage texting while driving in the First State as part of the nationwide It Can Wait movement. Fans who attend the Saturday, September 7, 2013, “Route 1 Rivalry” game between the University of Delaware and Delaware State University will have a chance to “drive” a special simulator that demonstrates the deadly consequences of texting while driving. The simulator will be set up in the Fan Zone at Delaware Stadium beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Attorney General Beau Biden announced today that his office has filed a consumer fraud case and issued a Cease and Desist Order against The Amish Mill, a furniture store located on Greenbank Road in the Prices Corner area of New Castle County, and its owner Michael D. Wharton.

As part of its recommendations, the task force suggested that it be kept in existence on a temporary basis, both to consider some issues that it did not have time to discuss during the short time that it had to make recommendations, and so that it can monitor the impact of its recommendations and suggest stricter measures with respect to medical costs if necessary.
