Week 2 Results for Checkpoint Strikeforce

Thirteen (13) people were arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of alcohol and/or drugs during the second weekend of the 2012 Checkpoint Strikeforce DUI prevention campaign. This brings the total DUI arrests made in the last 2 weeks as part of the campaign to 21. Statewide, there have been over 2,400 DUI arrests made in Delaware this year.

Division for the Visually Impaired to Host Town Hall Meeting July 16

Individuals with visual impairments and the general public will have another opportunity to give feedback to the Delaware Division for the Visually Impaired during a town hall meeting from 5:30-7:30 p.m. July 16 at the Holloway Campus near New Castle.




Department of Agriculture protects animal health at Delaware State Fair

As more than 3,000 animals are carried, carted, hauled, led and ridden into the Delaware State Fair fairgrounds next week, each will get a personal welcome from a Delaware Department of Agriculture animal health inspector. It’s part of the behind-the-scenes work of the Poultry and Animal Health Section to protect the health of every chicken, horse, pony, rabbit, goat, sheep, duck, cow, pig and goat arriving at the fair.




New recipe cards draw attention to Delaware produce
